In a future of political, economic and moral collapse, a genetically enhanced superhuman prototype named Max escapes from military confines and dwells amidst the decadent underground street life of *Seattle* to avoid government agents who want to bring her back into the fold. Searching for others of her kind who were scattered in the aftermath of her escape, Max encounters Logan, an idealistic cyber-journalist battling repression and corruption in post-apocalypse America. Eventually, Logan calls her to the highest part of her being and Max becomes his samurai as the pair takes on the ruthless power-brokers of the new millennium. Max and Logan's odyssey leads them closer to the secret of her past, deepening and complicating their relationship in the process.
X5R - 401
After the 2009 break out, all X5s were subjected to reconditioning and reprogramming, 401 included. It took, though, by nature 401, nicknamed “Mickey,” was never one to make waves, and usually tended to buy his time making any tactical decisions, always waiting for an opportune moment. He was assigned to the Charlie unit, and sent back to training once his reconditioning was completed. While, like all other X5s, he had the same enhancements on strength, speed, agility, etc., Mickey excelled more in the people relations aspects of his training, rather than the physical. He was good enough to pass when it came to combat training, but while his unit excelled around him, eventually he feared that he would be terminated because he wasn’t keeping up with the rest of the class. However, when it came to reconnaissance and infiltration, he was one of the best of the best. When he reached the age of around fifteen, they started sending him out on small recon missions in the neighboring areas. He performed well, delivering back the results that his superiors were looking for, but kept an eye on what was going on around him, making sure he wasn’t running out of time as a solider. He knew that soliders that weren’t up to par tended to disappear, and he didn’t want to be one of them. About two years later, he was sent on a mission around the San Francisco Bay area, where he noticed that there were some ships ready to leave port for Australia. Seeing this as his moment of opportunity, he abandoned his mission, ditched his supervision, and stowed away below deck on the ship. Once they were a good hundred miles off port, he used his infiltration and adaptation skills to blend in with the crew, staying on with them until they made port in Australia before disappearing.

Once in Austraila, he put his skills to even better use, proceeding to charm his way into the favors (and bank accounts) of some of Sydney’s wealthiest women. Picking up the last name “Malone,” he used the money he On first glance, Mickey is very charming, funny, and friendly—often the kind of person you would let your guard down around. He also is a con-artist, thief, pathological liar, and horrendous flirt when he wants to be. He’s impersonated a priest, a doctor, and Steve Irwin (or at least he tried), among others, and has worked as everything from a pool boy to a tuna fisherman. He has an ego the size of Australia, and he knows it, as well as a superiority complex to boot. He tends to avoid physical confrontation, preferring to try and talk people down before letting things escalate, but if necessary, he will revert back to his Manticore combat training. He always wears high collared shirts and keeps his hair long, so that his barcode is covered at all times, and while he has gotten some questions about it, foreigners aren’t as suspicious of a barcode, and he often dismisses it as a foolish moment he had when he was younger. He speaks with a distinct accent, after traveling abroad for so long, but due to his training, if he were to spend a few days back in the states, he would revert back to a more American accent. Like most X5s, however, he does suffer from the lack of seretonin production that causes the seizures. He monitors them with anti-seizure meds the best he can, but occasionally they do put him in a tight situation.

Not Mickey/X5 - 401. He's fictional. While he is an original character of my own creation, I do not own the Dark Angel Universe—that was created by James Cameron. Not Jesse Spencer, his PB, either, nor does he belong to me, he owns himself. This is all in good fun, and I'll put everything back just where I found them.
